What do you love about music?
Teaching someone who has no musical experience how to play a song that becomes recognizable. I delight in watching a student’s joy when they master a technique they thought they could never do.

Do you play in a band or currently perform?
I’m not in a band or performing currently. I occasionally perform with a friend for an open mic but haven’t done that in quite a while. I have worked with several bands up to about 2010.

BIOGRAPHY
Steve started teaching at age 14 when his guitar teacher became ill and asked him to teach the other students. The teacher was not able to return to teaching, so Steve continued on and will probably never stop. He taught at several music stores, including a store in Marion, Indiana, and several in Fort Wayne. He teaches several different styles and age groups, specializing in beginner and intermediate guitar, bass, mandolin, and ukulele lessons.
