Rolin Mains

What do you love about music?

For heights and depths no words can reach, music is the soul’s own speech.

Who is your favorite artist?

It depends on the day, but probably overall it’s Gustav Mahler.

What are your top 5 desert island albums?

Mahler Symphony No. 2 – Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony
Greatest Hits – ELO
A Decade of Steely Dan – Steely Dan
Jesus Christ Superstar – The Original Studio Cast
Mass – Leonard Bernstein

Do you play in a band or currently perform?

I just moved to town from Nashville after a year of The Recent Unpleasantness™, but before that, I was music directing Mary Poppins at the Nashville Rep, arranging a new musical by Ray Stevens for Chaffins Theater, and music directing at a local Nashville church.
