What do you love about music?
I love to see the progression in musicianship, whether it’s in a student or in myself! Listening to music soothes your soul, and learning music teaches you discipline and perseverance.

I currently play with the PFW clarinet ensemble, in the pit orchestra for some of the WNHS musicals, and at my church.

BIOGRAPHY

Moorea Douglas discovered her love of music while starting piano lessons at the age of eight. She progressed to playing clarinet in middle school and then in the marching band at Concordia Lutheran High School. She interned and worked at the Sweetwater Academy while earning a Bachelor of Music in music education with a concentration in special education mild intervention from Taylor University. Currently, she holds positions as West Noble Middle School band director, Columbia City High School marching band staff member, West Noble High School (WNHS) pit musician for musicals, and a church musician. She is also assisting her husband in starting a marching band at WNHS. She loves how music can soothe the soul and teach discipline and perseverance.
