Raised in Salekhard, Russia, as his parents did linguistic work, violin instructor Micah Honig studied in a Russian music academy and has been playing and performing since the age of five. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical studies and music from the historic Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago, giving him the opportunity to tour the United States and Spain with the Moody Symphonic Band and the Moody Community Orchestra. Putting himself through school by teaching lessons sparked a desire to pass along his knowledge and passion for the violin. He is excited about how music provides awesome opportunities for personal growth and loves the rewarding sense of accomplishment that comes from learning, playing, and performing beautiful and technically challenging music.
