Martyna Bleke, a Rzeszow, Poland, native, is an accomplished cellist and instructor whose talents have taken her worldwide. Since earning her Master of Arts from the Karol Lipińnski University of Music, some of her orchestral highlights include recording Johannes Brahms’s works in the Polish radio and television studio in Worcław, performing for the grand opening of the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, Germany, and having the pleasure to work under the great Kurt Masur, conductor of the New York Philharmonic. In 2014, Martyna moved to Fort Wayne, where she has remained an active member of the region’s arts community. From cello instructor at PFW, the Sweetwater Academy / Mynett Music, and the Community Arts Academy to her performances with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, the PFW faculty trio, and Heartland Sings, as well as being principal cellist of the PFW community orchestra, Martyna always has her cello by her side.
