Award-winning composer, arranger, performer, and educator Kent Klee brings a list of accolades to the Sweetwater Academy. He studied with legendary jazz drummer Ed Soph at the University of North Texas, graduated from IPFW with a bachelor’s degree in music performance, and completed his master’s degree in music performance from Ball State University. He served as the percussion director at Homestead High School for 27 years and taught percussion at over 40 high school band programs, accumulating hundreds of private students. As a composer, an arranger, and a teacher, Kent has won eight Indiana Marching Band State Championships and one WGI National Championship. Kent has performed with several Grammy-winning artists and has toured with several regional acts. He currently performs with the Jim Steel Trio, the Kent Klee Quartet, Expanding Man, and the Fort Wayne–based rock/pop band Fawn Liebowitz.
