Do you play in a band or currently perform?
Kenny plays guitar and sings with ’50s and ’60s band the Bulldogs, plays banjolin and guitarjo in the Farmland Jazz Band (an old-style jazz combo), and performs with the KT3 (a roots rockabilly band). He also has a jump-blues swing band called the Swingset Quartet and does elementary school / scholastic presentations with the Atomic Sharks.

BIOGRAPHY

Kenny Taylor brings over 30 years of experience performing and teaching guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and lap steel. He has a special affinity for ’50s rockabilly, surf instrumental, ’60s soul, blues, bluegrass, honky-tonk, fingerpicking style, and ’70s funk. While touring nationally and internationally with his rockabilly band the Blue Moon Boys, Kenny has opened for such guitar legends as Bo Diddley, James Burton, Dick Dale, Link Wray, and Brian Setzer. He’s also opened for bands like Cheap Trick, Gov’t Mule, and Ohio Players, to name a few. Whether you want to strum just for fun or take your playing to a new level, Kenny’s approach to teaching allows you to learn in a no-pressure, low-stress environment. He teaches every student according to their needs and abilities, so whether you’re advanced or just starting with the basics, you can begin working on your music goals immediately.
