Jonah has been playing music for almost two decades. Starting around age 6 on piano learning from his mother who is a classical piano teacher, he didn’t make the switch to guitar and bass until age 12. That is when it became clear that rock n roll was a much more enticing route, while roots in classical music and theory remained an indispensable tool in his playing and teaching. Jonah has shared the stage with bands such as The Marshall Tucker Band, Night Ranger, Blacktop Mojo and David Allan Coe to name a few, as well as years of experience on the road playing all throughout the United States and South America. Jonah’s teaching philosophy is based off the saying “The student and the teacher together create the teaching” and works well for all ages. By uniting the student/teacher relationship under a goal, his students gets to pick their path, while Jonah provides insight, direction, and optimal challenge across time for fastest possible development and get you to being the rock star you know you are!
