Jonah Leatherman has been playing music for almost two decades. His mother taught him to play the piano as a young child, but he didn’t make the switch to guitar and bass until age 12, when rock ’n’ roll became enticing. Jonah recognized that roots in classical music and theory remained an indispensable tool in his playing and teaching. He has shared the stage with artists such as the Marshall Tucker Band, Night Ranger, Blacktop Mojo, and David Allan Coe. Additionally, he’s had years of experience on the road playing throughout the United States and South America.
Jonah works well with students of all ages. His teaching philosophy is, “Together, the student and the teacher create the teaching.” By uniting the student-teacher relationship under a goal, his students have control over their musical paths. Jonah provides insight, direction, and optimal challenge across time for the fastest possible development, helping you become the rock star you know you are!
