BIOGRAPHY

Gavin Arnold has been playing clarinet since he was nine years old. Gavin holds a master’s degree in music from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a bachelor’s degree in music from California State University, Northridge. His primary teachers were Ben Freimuth and Julia Heinen, DMA. Gavin is now a regular substitute with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, the Lima Symphony Orchestra, and the Southwest Ohio Philharmonic. In addition to orchestral playing, Gavin has performed with several chamber ensembles in the Northern Indiana and Ohio area. Gavin maintains a large private studio in the Fort Wayne area with students who have been accepted into many high-level ensembles, including the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Orchestras program and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Gavin will help you to uncover a means of self-expression on the clarinet that reaches far beyond words.
