Tommy is a pianist, vocalist, and bandleader based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He began playing the piano at age 9 and was largely self-taught until the age of 13. In his early years, classical music was his primary focus. With a growing passion for the classics, he entered the 2015 Young Hoosier State Piano Competition, where he placed second. This was the first of many more competitions in the following years.

However, in 2017, Tommy began focusing on jazz piano because of the freedom of improvisation. Since then, he has shared the stage with many great musicians, such as Wynton Marsalis, Jeff Coffin, Bria Skonberg, and toured through Costa Rica with Ball State’s top Jazz Ensemble. In April 2020, Tommy received a national award in DownBeat’s student magazine for Outstanding Original Jazz Composition. The following year, in 2021, he graduated from Ball State University with a major in jazz piano performance.

He’s a passionate and energetic teacher who strives to help students reach their goals and become talented pianists.
