I love that music brings joy to people. It can make you feel countless emotions, and everyone loves music!

Who is your favorite artist?

My favorite artists currently is Kanye West/Michael Jackson but my favorite band of all time is Rush, followed closely by Queen.

Ethan Hacker is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, graduating from Carroll High School and currently finish a degree in Music Education from Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), with a primary instrument of trombone, as well as playing baritone/euphonium. While at Carroll Ethan was apart of the Wind Ensemble, as well as the award winning jazz ensemble, being named “Best Trombone Section” at the state finals 2 times, as well as winning multiple soloist awards at jazz festivals throughout Indiana. While at PFW Ethan has performed with artists such as Omar Thomas, Jim Widner, Bijon Watson, Butch Miles, as well as studied trombone with the Bass Trombonist of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Andrew Hicks. Ethan has worked with numerous high/middle schools in the area such as Carroll High School, Bishop Dwenger High School, Northrop High School, North Side High School, Snider High School, Lane Middle School, Lakeside Middle School, Blackhawk Middle School, and is currently the Assistant Director of Bands at Columbia City High School. Ethan is also a performer in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps (Madison, WI), and was a featured soloist in the 2021 production. Ethan loves to perform all types of music, but specializes in classical trombone and jazz.
