BIOGRAPHY
Award-winning, Fort Wayne-native trombonist Ethan Hacker is finishing his music education degree from Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) with a primary instrument of trombone, as well as playing baritone/euphonium. Ethan performs in woodwind ensembles, winning multiple Best Trombone Section state jazz ensemble awards and jazz festival soloist awards. Ethan has performed with artists including Omar Thomas, Jim Wider, Bijon Watson, and Butch Miles, and he has studied trombone with Fort Wayne Philharmonic bass trombonist Andrew Hicks. Currently the assistant director of bands at Columbia City High School, Ethan has worked with many area middle and high schools. Ethan performs in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps (Madison, WI) and was a featured soloist in their 2021 production.
